Below is the full list of stretch ceiling work carried out by our team across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Each listing states what the job includes and what it costs, so you can work out the right option before getting in touch. Prices reflect standard room sizes and access conditions; a written quote follows a site visit or a set of photos and measurements sent by email.
Cost depends mainly on ceiling area, the finish chosen (matte, satin or gloss), and how many fittings, corners or lighting cut-outs are needed. A plain rectangular room is quicker to fit than a room with alcoves, beams or a two-level design, and that difference shows up in the final figure.
Every installation covers the welded PVC or fabric membrane, the perimeter track, heating the material with a gas gun, and fitting it around existing light points. Removal of old cornice or a damaged plaster ceiling is quoted separately, as is any extra electrical work.
A first phone or email enquiry gets a reply within about 8 hours during working days. If the job needs a look in person, a site visit is arranged for a convenient time, including some Saturday mornings.
A flat, non-reflective PVC membrane suited to living rooms and bedrooms. It hides small imperfections in the base ceiling and gives an even, plaster-like look without the mess of skimming and sanding.
from £180A soft-sheen surface that reflects light gently without a mirror effect. Popular in hallways and dining rooms where a room needs to feel brighter without going for full gloss.
from £195A reflective membrane that visually adds height to a room by mirroring the walls and light fittings above. Often chosen for kitchens and smaller bathrooms in Birmingham terraced houses.
from £190Our fitter measures the room, checks wall condition and existing wiring, then talks through finish options on the spot. This visit is free and comes with no obligation to book further work.
£0Recessed spotlights are set into the membrane using heat-resistant rings, keeping the PVC or fabric safe from the bulb's warmth. Priced per light point added to any ceiling job.
£35 per pointA stepped or recessed design using a timber or aluminium frame to create two height levels. Useful for marking out a kitchen island area or a lounge seating zone.
from £340A specific membrane and fitting method used where a ceiling has previously taken on water from a leak above. The stretch ceiling can also catch and hold a future leak, protecting the room below until a plumber deals with the cause.
from £260A photographic or pattern print applied to the membrane before fitting, used for feature ceilings in living rooms or children's bedrooms. Design proofs are sent for approval before printing goes ahead.
from £420Where a plaster or plasterboard ceiling is cracked or sagging, it can be taken down and disposed of before the new membrane track goes up, rather than trying to fit around damaged material.
from £160Needed when access is required above the ceiling, for example to fix wiring or a pipe. The membrane is carefully unclipped, the track stays in place, and the same panel is reheated and refitted afterwards.
from £90A short inspection of track fixings, seams and light points on a ceiling fitted in previous years. Recommended once every few years, particularly in kitchens and bathrooms where humidity is higher.
£22Send room measurements or a few photos and we will reply within about 8 hours with a price based on the list above.
